Hi, I’m Dawn, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the founder of Caterpillar Counseling LLC.
I work with Christian women who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and seasons where faith feels difficult. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can be honest about what you’re going through, feel supported, and begin the journey toward healing, hope, and transformation.
You don’t have to carry these struggles alone. Support, understanding, and healing are possible.
At Caterpillar Counseling, I believe that growth and healing often happen in quiet, hidden seasons, much like the transformation that happens inside a cocoon. The struggles you are facing today do not define your story. With support, reflection, and faith, it is possible to move through difficult seasons and experience meaningful change.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or simply need a place to talk and be heard, you don’t have to face it alone.
Why I Do This Work
I have been a Christian counselor for over eight years. During that time, I recognized a real need to support people in the church who are struggling with mental health. Too often, they are told to “just pray about it,” which can unintentionally minimize the pain they are feeling and keep them from getting the help they need.
I am not that kind of counselor. Rather than simply noticing the problem, I chose to step in and be part of the solution by offering a place where faith and compassionate mental health care can work together to support true healing.
What To Expect
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood. Counseling is a place where we can talk honestly about what you are experiencing while exploring practical tools, emotional healing, and the role faith can play in the process.
In my work with clients, I often draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with other therapeutic tools that support emotional healing, personal growth, and faith-centered reflection.
